ADVISOR ALLOCATION SHIFT TRACKER
Advisors Rotating Into Shorter Duration Fixed Income
Advisors are de-risking duration, not equities. The shift to short-term fixed income and alternatives signals rate uncertainty — issuers with short-duration or floating-rate products should lean into this trend.
Wholesaler script
“Lead with our short-duration credit positioning vs peers in advisor conversations.”

GROWTH PLAYBOOK • DISTRIBUTION HACK
LinkedIn Is Your Cheapest Distribution Channel (If You Use It Right)
The top 10 ETF issuers by AUM growth in 2025 all had one thing in common: an active LinkedIn presence from their portfolio managers, not just the corporate account. PM-authored posts about market views (not product pitches) tend to earn more engagement than corporate marketing content. The trick: every third post should subtly reference how your fund's strategy is positioned for the current environment. Advisors who follow your PM may be more receptive to a wholesaler meeting.

ADVISOR SENTIMENT PULSE
Tax-Loss Harvesting Season Is Driving Unusual ETF Switching
34% of advisors plan to swap at least one core holding for a similar-but-different ETF
This is an underrated distribution window. If your fund is a credible swap candidate for a larger competitor, now is the time to position it. Wholesalers should be armed with side-by-side comparison sheets.

DISTRIBUTION TIP OF THE DAY
Wholesaler Optimization
Your Wholesaler's Follow-Up Rate Matters More Than Meeting Count
Top wholesalers at the fastest-growing issuers spend 60% of their time on follow-up and 40% on new meetings. The industry average is the reverse. A one-page customized summary sent within 48 hours of a meeting makes you one of the 3 wholesalers an advisor remembers out of the 14 they see each quarter.

PLATFORM APPROVAL TRACKER
Schwab Completes TD Ameritrade Integration — Expanded ETF Shelf
The full integration of TD Ameritrade Institutional into Charles Schwab (completed September 2023) created the largest independent custodial platform in the industry. The combined Schwab platform now offers the widest ETF selection available to RIAs, including impact-themed and ESG-rebranded products. Advisors formerly on the TDAI platform now access an expanded ETF universe through Schwab's infrastructure.
IMPLICATION FOR ISSUERS
The ESG label may be tired, but impact investing is growing. If your fund has environmental or social impact characteristics, reframe the narrative around specific outcomes — not broad ESG scores. The Schwab shelf is now the single most important platform target for ETF distribution.
Wholesaler script
“Schwab integration complete — re-pitch our expanded shelf access this quarter.”

WHOLESALER BENCHMARK
34%
conversion rate
Top wholesalers convert 34% of first meetings into follow-up commitments
BENCHMARK CONTEXT
Industry average: 18%. The difference is the quality of the leave-behind. A one-page portfolio fit illustration customized to the advisor's current allocation converts at 2x the rate of a generic fund factsheet.

WHAT ADVISORS TOLD US THIS WEEK
“I stopped taking meetings with issuers who can't tell me what allocation slot their fund fills. I don't have time for 'it's a unique strategy' with no portfolio context.”
— RIA CIO, $2.1B firm, West Coast
WHAT THIS MEANS FOR ISSUERS
Lead every conversation with the portfolio construction use case. 'Our fund replaces the X sleeve in a model portfolio' is more compelling than 'our fund has a unique strategy.'
