ADVISOR ALLOCATION SHIFT TRACKER
Advisors Adding Income Sleeves Across All Risk Levels
Dividend Equity ▲ 8% → 12%
High-Yield Bonds ▲ 5% → 7%
Covered Call ETFs ▲ 2% → 5%
Core Equity ▼ 38% → 33%
Growth Equity ▼ 15% → 12%
The income mandate is dominating advisor conversations. Covered call, dividend, and high-yield strategies are all gaining share at the expense of pure growth. Issuers with income products have a structural tailwind.
Wholesaler script
“Position our income sleeves as risk-bucket agnostic — every model needs them.”

NEW ETF LAUNCH RADAR
Buffer ETF Launches Accelerate — Every Major Issuer Now in the Game
Fidelity reportedly exploring defined outcome ETFs (unverified; would be a significant milestone if confirmed)
BlackRock filed for iShares Flexible Income Active ETF (SEC N-1A, November 2025) — verified
PGIM launched a buffer series targeting the S&P 500 and Nasdaq-100 (not international markets)
The buffer ETF category has gone from 2 issuers to 12+ in under 3 years. Advisor adoption is the driver — buffer products solve the behavioral problem that bonds used to address. S&P 500 and Nasdaq-100 buffer products dominate the current issuer lineup.
Wholesaler script
“Buffer category saturation = our differentiation matters more, not less.”

GROWTH PLAYBOOK  •  SHELF SPACE STRATEGY
The 3-Meeting Rule That Gets You on Model Portfolios
Most issuers pitch product. The ones who win shelf space pitch process. Top-performing wholesalers at firms like DimensionalFund Advisors and Capital Group don't lead with expense ratios or track records — they lead with how their fund solves a specific portfolio construction problem. The 3-Meeting Rule: Meeting 1 is about the advisor's practice and pain points. Meeting 2 is about how your fund fits their existing allocation framework. Meeting 3 is the ask. Skip to Meeting 3 on the first call and you've lost the shelf space war before it starts.

WHAT ADVISORS TOLD US THIS WEEK
“The wholesaler who follows up with a one-page summary within 24 hours gets my business. The one who sends a 40-page deck gets deleted.”
— Independent advisor, $520M AUM, Midwest
WHAT THIS MEANS FOR ISSUERS
Brevity is the ultimate competitive advantage in distribution. One page. One chart. One reason to act. That's what converts.
