About Lead-Lag Media®
An AI-driven sales, marketing, and distribution firm for the financial services industry, founded by Michael A. Gayed, CFA.
Michael founded Lead-Lag Media® after 15+ years watching two problems in the fund distribution industry go unsolved.
The first problem is on the advisor side. Financial advisors get flooded with unsolicited pitches from asset managers, wholesalers, and product sponsors. Almost none of that outreach is relevant to the advisor’s actual client book. Advisors lose time. Trust in the outreach model collapses. Legitimate offerings get lost in the noise.
The second problem is on the Sponsor side. Mutual fund and ETF issuers spend heavily on distribution and cannot audit what they actually got. Reach numbers look impressive. Conversion never quite matches the story. The vendor gets paid regardless.
Lead-Lag Media® was built to fix both problems with one structural change: a two-sided network where advisor engagement is measured, credit-verified, and visible to both sides. Advisors get real services in exchange for real engagement. Sponsors pay for engagement they can audit, not for a mailing list.
Founder
Lead-Lag Media® is a two-sided marketplace, and we say so on our homepage rather than burying it.
Demand-side product. Receive complimentary services (research, tools, GEO/AI visibility, content, intros) in exchange for engagement with the network. Engagement earns credits. Credits unlock premium services.
Paying customer. Subscribe to reach the audited advisor pipeline. Every deliverable, every send, every meeting is tracked in the Sponsor Portal with credit-verified engagement metrics.
We disclose this openly because the credibility of the model depends on both sides understanding what they are participating in. Advisors deserve to know why the services are free. Sponsors deserve to know that the engagement they are paying for is real.
Lead-Lag Media® is a marketing and distribution firm for other financial services companies. Sponsors remain fully responsible for their own regulatory compliance.
