ADVISOR ALLOCATION SHIFT TRACKER
Advisors Adding Income Sleeves Across All Risk Levels
Dividend Equity 8% → 12%
High-Yield Bonds 5% → 7%
Covered Call ETFs 2% → 5%
Core Equity 38% → 33%
Growth Equity 15% → 12%
The income mandate is dominating advisor conversations. Covered call, dividend, and high-yield strategies are all gaining share at the expense of pure growth. Issuers with income products have a structural tailwind.
Wholesaler script
“Position our income sleeves as risk-bucket agnostic — every model needs them.”

NEW ETF LAUNCH RADAR
Grayscale CoinDesk Crypto 5 ETF (GDLC) — First U.S. Multi-Asset Crypto ETF
Grayscale converted its Digital Large Cap Fund to an ETF; GDLC began trading on NYSE on September 19, 2025
GDLC holds BTC (~70%), ETH (~20%), XRP, SOL, and ADA — the first U.S. multi-asset crypto ETF
SEC initially stayed the approval in July 2025 before lifting the stay in September, allowing trading to begin
The multi-asset crypto ETF category has officially launched. GDLC's approval signals regulatory comfort with diversified crypto exposure beyond single-token products — opening the door for advisor allocations to crypto as an asset class rather than individual coins.
Wholesaler script
“GDLC opens the door — pitch advisors on diversified crypto exposure today.”

The Issuer That Turned Conference Sponsorships Into $2B in AUM
Instead of sponsoring 20 conferences with a standard booth, this issuer sponsored 5 conferences as the exclusive 'market outlook' presenter. Each presentation was designed as a portfolio construction workshop, not a product pitch. Attendees left with a printed one-pager showing exactly where the fund fits in a 60/40, risk parity, or income portfolio. The follow-up was a personalized portfolio analysis. Within 24 months, conference-sourced relationships represented 35% of total AUM.

Envestnet PMC Approves New ETFs for Model Marketplace
Envestnet's Portfolio Management Consultants added ETFs to their approved list across active fixed income, alternatives, thematic equity, and income-focused categories. Envestnet powers over 110,000 advisor relationships and approximately $7 trillion in platform assets.
IMPLICATION FOR ISSUERS
Envestnet approval is often the catalyst that moves an ETF from 'interesting' to 'in the model.' If you're not in the PMC pipeline, start the conversation now — the review cycle takes 4-6 months.

“Use Envestnet PMC approval as opener with model-driven RIA advisors.”

touchpoints
Average number of touchpoints before an advisor adds a new ETF to their allocation
BENCHMARK CONTEXT
Most issuers give up after one meeting with no follow-up. The top performers maintain a 3-touchpoint minimum: initial meeting → portfolio fit follow-up → market trigger email. Each touchpoint should add new information, not repeat the pitch.

WHAT ADVISORS TOLD US THIS WEEK
“The wholesaler who follows up with a one-page summary within 24 hours gets my business. The one who sends a 40-page deck gets deleted.”
— Independent advisor, $520M AUM, Midwest
WHAT THIS MEANS FOR ISSUERS
Brevity is the ultimate competitive advantage in distribution. One page. One chart. One reason to act. That's what converts.
