Advisors are de-risking duration, not equities. The shift to short-term fixed income and alternatives signals rate uncertainty — issuers with short-duration or floating-rate products should lean into this trend.

GROWTH PLAYBOOK • ADVISOR ADOPTION PLAYBOOK
Why Your Wholesaler's Calendar Is Your Biggest Asset
The average financial advisor takes 14 meetings with wholesalers per quarter. They remember 3. The ones they remember aren't the best presenters — they're the ones who followed up within 48 hours with a one-page summary customized to the advisor's specific portfolio. Top wholesalers at firms growing AUM fastest spend 60% of their time on follow-up and 40% on new meetings. Most do the opposite.

ADVISOR SENTIMENT PULSE
ESG Fatigue Is Real — But Impact Investing Is Growing
ESG-labeled fund interest down 22% YoY, but 'impact' and 'thematic sustainability' interest up 15%
Advisors are tired of generic ESG labels but still see client demand for values-aligned investing. Reframing around specific impact themes (clean water, energy transition) resonates far better than broad ESG branding.

DISTRIBUTION TIP OF THE DAY
Competitive Intelligence
Active ETFs Now Capture 30% of All ETF Inflows
Active ETFs captured 30% of all inflows in Q1 2026, up from 18% a year ago. Winning categories: active fixed income, buffered/defined outcome, and active thematic. The distribution message that works isn't 'we beat the index' — it's 'we manage the risks your clients are asking about.'

PLATFORM APPROVAL TRACKER
Schwab Completes TD Ameritrade Integration — Expanded ETF Shelf
The full integration of TD Ameritrade Institutional into Charles Schwab (completed September 2023) created the largest independent custodial platform in the industry. The combined Schwab platform now offers the widest ETF selection available to RIAs, including impact-themed and ESG-rebranded products. Advisors formerly on the TDAI platform now access an expanded ETF universe through Schwab's infrastructure.
IMPLICATION FOR ISSUERS
The ESG label may be tired, but impact investing is growing. If your fund has environmental or social impact characteristics, reframe the narrative around specific outcomes — not broad ESG scores. The Schwab shelf is now the single most important platform target for ETF distribution.

WHOLESALER BENCHMARK
47 hours
response time
Average time from advisor inquiry to wholesaler response across the industry
BENCHMARK CONTEXT
Top-performing firms respond within 4 hours. The #2 factor in advisor fund selection (behind performance) is wholesaler responsiveness. A 24-hour SLA outperforms a brilliant marketing campaign.

WHAT ADVISORS TOLD US THIS WEEK
“I have 14 wholesaler meetings a quarter. I remember 3 of them. The ones I remember brought data about my specific client demographic, not generic fund performance.”
— Wirehouse FA, $890M book, New York
WHAT THIS MEANS FOR ISSUERS
Customization is the new cold call. Pre-meeting research on the advisor's practice, client demographics, and existing allocation should be standard operating procedure for every wholesaler visit.
