ADVISOR ALLOCATION SHIFT TRACKER
Buffered ETFs Carving Out a Permanent Allocation Slot
Buffered/Defined Outcome 1% → 4%
Core Bonds 28% → 24%
US Equity 42% → 43%
International 13% → 13%
Cash 7% → 5%
Buffered ETFs are replacing bond allocations, not equity. Advisors see them as behavioral insurance — clients tolerate market participation when downside is capped. This category is moving from niche to core.
Wholesaler script
“Pitch buffered ETFs as permanent allocation, not tactical — that frame closes.”

Tax-efficient income strategies are the new frontier. NEOS's Section 1256 approach has been a game-changer for advisors seeking high distributions with lower tax drag.
Wholesaler script
“Reference IWMI as proof-point that small-cap covered call demand is real.”

Why RIA Aggregators Are Your Next Distribution Shortcut
Focus Financial Partners, Buckingham Strategic Wealth, and Carson Group collectively influence over $150B in AUM through centralized model portfolios. Land on one approved list and you get 200+ advisor practices overnight. The entry point isn't the home office — it's the regional director who runs the investment committee. Most issuers waste months pitching the CIO when the committee member who actually evaluates new products is two levels below.

ADVISOR SENTIMENT PULSE
Crypto ETF Interest Is Rising Among Fee-Only RIAs
29% of fee-only RIAs now allocate to crypto ETFs (up from 11% in 2025)
The institutional adoption curve for crypto ETFs is accelerating faster among fee-only RIAs than wirehouses. If you have a crypto product, the fee-only channel deserves dedicated attention.

DISTRIBUTION TIP OF THE DAY
CE Credit Strategy
CE Webinars Convert Attendees to Meetings at 4x the Standard Rate
Standard webinars convert at 2-3%. CE credit webinars convert at 8-12%. The highest-converting format: a panel with your PM, an independent strategist, and an advisor who uses your fund. The advisor testimonial is the conversion catalyst, not the market outlook.

PLATFORM APPROVAL TRACKER
Pershing Model Marketplace Adds First Crypto-Adjacent ETFs
BNY Pershing added Bitcoin and multi-token crypto ETFs to its model marketplace for the first time, signaling that even the most conservative custodial platforms are warming to digital asset exposure in managed accounts.
IMPLICATION FOR ISSUERS
Pershing's conservative platform adding crypto ETFs is a distribution tipping point. Advisors who were waiting for 'platform approval' before adding crypto now have cover.

Wholesaler script
“Pershing crypto-adjacent ETFs = warm up advisors to our crypto-curious funds.”

WHOLESALER BENCHMARK
34%
conversion rate
Top wholesalers convert 34% of first meetings into follow-up commitments
BENCHMARK CONTEXT
Industry average: 18%. The difference is the quality of the leave-behind. A one-page portfolio fit illustration customized to the advisor's current allocation converts at 2x the rate of a generic fund factsheet.

WHAT ADVISORS TOLD US THIS WEEK
“The last three funds I added to my models all had one thing in common: the issuer gave me a white-labeled market commentary I could send to my clients under my own brand.”
— RIA with $650M AUM, Pacific Northwest
WHAT THIS MEANS FOR ISSUERS
White-label content is the stealth distribution weapon. Advisors who use your commentary become embedded advocates — and they're unlikely to switch products when the content pipeline is working.
